Carmen France - Management Accountant

An experienced accountant with a diverse finance background

Carmen joined Catesby Estates in 2024 as a management accountant after spending over 15 years working in various financial environments, from financial services, accounting practice and land promotion.

She is responsible for assisting the Finance Director in managing finance functions across the business. This includes site appraisal, project cash flows and management accounting.

A broad and comprehensive knowledge of financial, management and project accounting

Before joining Catesby, Carmen spent 9 years at Caterpillar Financial Services training to become a Chartered Accountant as an accounts clerk, before being promoted to a Country Accountant for the Dubai entity of the business.

A demanding and complex role dealing with, amongst many other things, statutory & management accounts, accounting policies and practices in various foreign countries and the yearly internal (SOX) and external audits.

2017 saw Carmen joining the accountancy practice SFB Group as a Finance Manager, leading a team in AP and AR functions, credit control, bookkeeping for sole traders and general office duties.

Then, in 2018 she became a project accountant at L&Q Estates managing the budgets on large infrastructure projects, preparing management accounts and being involved in the statutory audit, prior to joining Catesby as a management accountant.

Carmen has an AAT level 4 qualification and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
